ProTip: Dynamically Generate Additional Image Fields
Dynamically enhance your digital forms with Calculations that automatically populate additional form fields to gather thorough form data
Did you know you can leverage Calculations to automatically generate additional Image fields as soon as they are needed? This functionality can be used to guide user entry, simplify form completion processes, further enhance data integrity, and much more!
How to dynamically generate additional Image fields as a user adds Images to their forms:
Open your Template in the Template Editor.
Using the drag-and-drop functionality, (for this example we will only use two fields) drag over two Image fields onto your Template in the Template Editor. Remember to name your Image fields (as this will be important for the naming convention within your Calculation).
For our example, we will name our first Image field “Image Example” and our second Image field “Example Two”.
Select the second image (“Example Two”) which we will dynamically make Visible.
Navigate to the Properties Panel, to the right of your form Template, and locate the Visible property. Click the menu icon [...] to the right of the Visible drop down and select ‘Use a custom calculation’.
Now add the following Calculation: =If([Image Example], "true", "false")
Click ‘Save Changes’!
Bonus: If you wish to make the newly Visible Image field Required, follow the same steps as above but include the formula within the Required section rather than the Visible section of the Properties Panel.
