Use Public Forms to Collect Data From Anyone

With GoFormz Public Forms, you can easily build digital forms using a drag-and-drop form builder, then quickly share them with anyone you want. People can then fill out these forms anytime, anywhere — and once a form is completed, the results will be sent back to you immediately. This solution is ideal for surveys, questionnaires, registration forms, customer feedback, and much more.

These digital forms can look exactly like your existing paper forms or be built from scratch, and they can contain data types that cannot be collected via paper forms, including photos and maps. Our digital forms also support a lot of “smart” features like automatic calculations, conditional logic, auto-filling fields from a database, and more.

Public Forms can be single-use or multi-use.

  • Single-use forms can only be filled out once — as soon as the form is submitted once, it cannot be submitted a second time. This is ideal for any situation where you only need to collect information from one person. For instance, you may be filling out a project proposal form, and you need the customer to sign off on it. In this situation, you would make a single-use Public Forms and share it with your customer so that they could review and sign the form. You may also want to make all fields except the signature field read-only — something that’s very easy to do with Public Forms!

  • Multi-use forms are great when you are collecting information from multiple people. Examples include surveys, permission slips, new customer registration forms, etc. These forms can be filled out and submitted multiple times by multiple people. For multi-use forms, it is often useful to set an expiration date — another handy feature of Public Forms! For instance, if you have a registration form for an event, it doesn’t make sense for it to still be available after the event — so you may want to set it to expire on the day of the event.

GoFormz is an end-to-end data capture solution, which means our capabilities go far beyond creating forms and using them to collect data. You can set up email notifications to be sent when your Public Forms are completed. You can create automated workflows that will send your form PDFs and/or data to cloud storage, to a third-party system, or to a database. And you can even build custom reports based on your data collected through your Public Forms, and schedule those reports to run automatically on a regular basis.

Getting started with Public Forms is easy:

  1. Build your template. Use our flexible drag-and-drop form builder to build a brand new form, or to convert an existing paper form to a digital one. In GoFormz, we call these digital forms templates.

  2. Make a Public Form from your template. This can be done in seconds. Simply decide whether your Public Form will be single-use or multi-use, set up a few properties (which fields people will be able to edit, the form’s expiration date, etc.), and you’re done!

  3. Buy some Public Form credits. We charge for Public Forms on a per submission basis: one submitted form costs one credit. The price of a credit depends on how many you buy at a time — buying in bulk is cheaper.

  4. Share your form! When you set up your Public Form, GoFormz will give you a unique URL. Simply share this URL with anyone that you want to fill out the form.
