As the year comes to a close, we here at GoFormz are so proud to look back on all the product changes, improvements, and brand-new features we’ve been able to release. Many of which have been based on feedback provided by our own customers through our Feature Request Portal. Whether you’re new to the GoFormz platform, or just haven’t made the time to learn these new product features, this post is a great place to find out more ways you can make GoFormz work for your team.

[New Feature] Page Elements: Add Basic Design Updates to Your Form Template

What’s New?

Use the Page Elements feature to make simple design changes to your digital form Template. Use Page Elements to add your logo, include disclaimer text, make basic formatting updates, and more. These elements include:

  • Images: Add Images to your Template to include your business’ logo, branding assets, and other imagery. 

  • Rectangles: Add Rectangles to your Template to mask unwanted formatting, create new sections, add brand colors, and more. 

  • Lines: Add Lines to your Template to divide sections, include areas for new fields, and more. 

  • Text: Add Text to your Template to include new text on your background, like section headers, disclaimer information, and more. 

The new Page Elements feature empowers form creators to modify their digital form templates directly within the GoFormz application, providing the flexibility to update and further customize their existing digital forms.

[Feature Update] Mobile App Updates: Work Seamlessly Across a Variety of Devices

What’s New?

Three distinct updates were made to the GoFormz mobile app experience, including:

  • Consistent Look and Feel: Interface improvements that provide a consistent user experience across our Android, iOS, and Windows apps – making it easier to manage and onboard teams using a variety of devices.

  • Field Descriptions in ‘List View’: Fields displayed in List View (a small-screen optimized viewing mode for your form) can now feature descriptions, empowering form builders to provide essential context for form users.

  • Required Field Improvements: When a user attempts to submit a form with any Required fields left incomplete, a dialog box will appear displaying a clear list of the fields that must be completed. Users can simply select from this list to navigate directly to each incomplete Required, which will be highlighted by a red marker.

These mobile app enhancements improve the GoFormz mobile app experience through an optimized, intuitive, and consistent interface, all with enhanced syncing processes meaning your form and Template data are readily available.

[Feature Update] New Workflow Recipes: Automate Common Tasks

What’s New?

Use Workflows to automate common tasks, like automatically emailing or uploading completed forms, based on specific actions. GoFormz users of all paid subscription tiers now have the ability to build multi-step Workflows from scratch or customize pre-built recipes available in the Workflow Recipe Library. Here are a few of the new Recipes available for GoFormz users to use, build, and customize, by subscription tier:

Team Edition

Top Workflows now available to Team users include: 

  • Upload forms to Cloud storage applications (like Box, Dropbox, and Google Workspace)

  • Export forms to a PDF

  • Extract images from a submitted form

  • Route submitted forms via email to contacts

Advanced Edition 

Top Workflows now available to Advanced edition users (and Enterprise) include: 

  • Uploading files to applications like OneDrive and BIM 360 

  • Changing a form's status in GoFormz

  • Upserting rows in third-party spreadsheets and workbooks

  • Creating a form

  • Creating a shareable, online form (a Public Form)

  • Exporting reports as a CSV file

  • Pulling form file attachments

[Feature Update] Required Field Navigation: Rapidly Locate and Complete Incomplete Fields

What’s New?

When a user attempts to complete a form where Required fields have been left incomplete, a dropdown will immediately appear above the form, listing the number of Required fields left incomplete and each specific field the user must address, by order of occurrence. 

This improvement simplifies locating and completing incomplete Required fields, especially when working with longer or more complicated documents. Rather than requiring users to search for a field within a form, they can simply select the field name to instantly locate and complete their form.

[New Feature] eSignature Fields: Collect Legally Binding eSignatures and Initials

What’s New?

Use our E-SIGN Act and UETA-compliant electronic signature fields to ensure your contracts and digital documents are legally binding. Now GoFormz offers two different types of signature capture capabilities. Digital Signature fields can be used to collect signatures that do NOT require legally binding authentication, like a digital sign-in sheet. Whereas eSign fields allow you to collect legally binding, E-SIGN Act-compliant signatures within your digital forms for contractually binding agreements and documentation.
